Following the acquisition in 2021, foundation and structural issues with the original chalet (1970s) were identified during renovation work. A decision was therefore made to proceed with a major demolition of the building. Only certain portions of the foundation deemed compliant, the concrete slab and the separating floor were retained.

A new residence was subsequently constructed on this base (architectural plans on file) by a contractor. The work includes, among other things, an expansion, new plumbing, new electrical systems, full insulation and a new roof.

In addition, a new septic system, new drainage system and a new artesian well were installed.

For all practical purposes, the property is considered a new construction, except for the retained portions of the foundation.

Construction was completed in early 2023.
